Old information relating to travel to/from the UK
In case you missed the news this week, we are happy to confirm that there is light at the end of the tunnel for prospective home buyers from the UK. Starting Monday 29th March, the UK’s travel restrictions will include a list of specific “reasonable excuses to travel” outside the country, which includes travel “in connection with the purchase, sale, letting, or rental of a residential property,” according to new legislation. You can view the new legislation online by clicking here.
You can also view the required forms you will need to complete by clicking here.
Permitted activities include visiting an estate agent, developer sales office, or show home, viewing residential properties to rent or buy, and preparing a property for moving in.And the good news keeps on coming! Starting next Tuesday 30th March, the Spanish government will be lifting restrictions on flights from the UK. Travellers will still have to show a negative PCR result from a test taken no more than 72 hours before arrival.
IMPORTANT! We highly suggest you take extreme caution with any arrangements. If you cannot comply with the legal requirements or are caught abusing this new legislation, the consequence is a very hefty fine of up to £5,000. We’re here to help and can provide you with further information and assistance to complete the process correctly, but are not responsible if you do not comply. Be sensible and stay safe
